Multifunctional high volume digital printer-copier-scanner

The VP2110 is a high volume digital printer copier scanner designed to deliver unmatched productivity to our customers. This means a balanced design focussing on high quality output, throughput on a reliable, easy to use system.
Océ Technology proposition
Océ Copy Press
Buyer’s Lab says ‘‘amazing’’ and ‘‘unmatched’’ The Océ Copy Press system is so revolutionary that when Buyer’s Lab tested our copiers, they called them ‘‘amazing’’ and ‘‘unmatched in the industry". The six unique components of the Océ Copy Press system produce copies and prints that always get rave reviews.
Print quality
Copy Press engines produce a matt black, offset-like image. The most important property in print/copy quality is the screening, i.e. the raster size. When printing, in the VP2110 the raster size is selectable between 85, 106, 125 lpi (lines per inch).
Océ Image Logic
With Océ Image Logic each element (photograph, text, graphic, etc,) on each page of a document is actually recognised, examined and processed optimally and automatically, independently of each other. Background (e.g. from coloured paper) is automatically suppressed so that the image stands out clearly and the page looks “clean”.
Active registration and reliable paper path
Océ is well known for minimum paper jams, due primarily to the Océ Copy Press technology. The excellent feeding techniques used by the Océ VarioPrint 2110 enhance reliability even further.
The second issue in the paper path has a huge consequence for the quality of the output.
The state-of-the-art technology of Océ’s media registration module, delivers ...
· high versatility: wide range of media types can be processed
· a very high registration accuracy, as tight as 0.5 mm
· reliability
The x, z registration and skew correction are extremely accurate (0.5 mm) and robust for a large variety of media sizes and types. Each and every sheet is in the right place when the image is pressed on to it, thanks to dedicated motors and sensors with high precision (e.g. optical sensors) and robustness under any circumstances.
Air Separation and Vacuum Feed
The Océ VarioPrint 2110 unique, state-of-the-art paper input uses air separation and vacuum feed. The separation is carried out by side-blow and front-blow nozzles, a suction box, and a separation belt.
The 2110 feed the widest range of media in the field of competitors. The paper trays feed “everything”, the short paper path and the wide curves enable stiff materials to be printed.
Strengths of the concept
The operator has several mechanisms to control the queue. Operator productivity is key. The workflow of the operator is automated as much as possible (last used template, keep running/keep sequence mechanism, etc.), while keeping the operator in control (clear feedback, clearly defined control actions).
The job queue is a visual focus for the efficient operation of the Océ VP2110, but behind it, several other concepts are also very important.
In Summary
The Oce VP-2110 is a high speed printer (105 ipm) for mid volume production printing (from 300 000 images to 1 000 000 images per month) that focuses on total productivity of high quality end documents.
Very strong or even unique characteristics for these products are:
| ● |
unmatched productivity: they beat competitive products with 30% or more in total production time
|
| ● |
print quality is still unmatched on a very wide range of media |
| ● |
integration in document output software (Océ PRISMA suite) is out standing |
| ● |
demand for finished documents is met by open standards to a wide variety of external (third party) finishing equipment |
